Soccer: East Hall sweeps Leopards; Lady Vikings qualify for first-ever state tourney

RABBITTOWN -- The Class AAA fifth-ranked East Hall boys routed Banks County 11-1 Friday night in 7-AAA action at East Hall Stadium.

The East Hall girls made it a sweep with a 3-2 win over the Lady Leopards in the first match and qualified them for their first-ever state playoff apperance.

For the boys, Leo Toledo had a huge night for the Vikings scoring five times and adding three asists. Victor Adame, Oscar Gonzalez, Carlos Castrejon,and Elliott Andrade each scored one goal for East Hall (10-4-1, 4-0 Region 7-AAA). Sherman Lucero scored two goals and had two assists and Carlos Castrejon added three assists for the Vikings.

In the girls match, the Lady Vikings got goals from Lauren Pope, Yvette Gallaga, and Anna Elizarraiaz. Pope added an assist for East Hall (3-12, 3-1 Region 7-AAA).
 
The win matched the most wins in program history with three matches left.
 
Both East Hall teams will take the week off before returning to action on April 14 traveling to Madison County in a non-region battle.
