Volleyball: Jefferson ends streak in tri-match

JEFFERSON -- The Jefferson girls volleyball team snapped its longest losing streak of the season Thursday knocking off Chestatee in the second game of a tri-match.

The Lady Dragons began with a tough three-set loss to Class AA fifth-ranked Hart County 27-25, 22-25, 25-7 but then beat Chestatee 25-21, 25-19 to end the streak.

The Lady Dragons were paced by Sarah Wood with a blistering 30 kills, seven digs, and four aces. Grace Williamson had 19 assists, four kills, four aces and three digs while Daniela Franco finished with three kills, two digs, and five aces for Jefferson (26-13).


Paige Watson had 17 assists, three aces, and one dig. Lindsey Nilsen had eight kills snd Amanda Flowers had five kills for the Lady Trojans.
