Football: Week 4 top offensive performances

Week 4 didn't go as planned for most teams across the area, and it didn't have anything to do with wins or losses. Well, maybe for some teams that was the case, but for the most part, Mother Nature forced several games across the coverage area into long delays a couple of times on Friday. 

The North Hall-East Hall was the last to finish, close to 2 a.m. 

Nevertheless, there were some solid performances once again this week. Rabun County running back Reid Giles turned in the top performance with 424 total yards of offense -- 111 rushing, 204 receiving, 99 kickoff return yards and 10 punt return yards, three rushing TDs and one KO return for a touchdown. 

Buford (beat Roswell 65-21)
QB Dayton Raiola was 15-of-23 for 209 yards and four touchdowns. 
RB Tyriq Green rushed four times for 88 yards and a TD, and had a 66-yard punt return for a TD. 
WR Torre Costin caught four passes for 72 yards and a touchdown. 
RB Jameer Cantrell had three carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. 


Cherokee Bluff (beat Habersham Central 35-14)
RB Jackson Pirkle had 19 carries for 106 yards, three receptions for 53 yards and 2 TDs
OL Cohen Carter turned in a 92% Blocking Grade with six elite blocks
QB Cooper Dean was 13-of-16 passing for 159 yards, 10 rushes for 25 yards, 2 TD passes and 1 Rushing TD.


Dawson County (beat Banks 32-22)
RB Cody McBrayer rushed 24 times for 195 yards and two TDs. 


East Hall (lost to North Hall 51-49)
QB Jamarcus Harrison was 16-of-28 for 257 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 101 yards on 16 touches and one score. 
RB Lukas Pruitt rushed 26 times for 119 yards and two TDs.
WR Kahlil Goss caught seven passes for 93 yards and a TD.
WR Koen Bryant caught three passes for 47 yards and three touchdowns.


Flowery Branch (beat Hart County 24-14)
QB Brett Sturm was 13-of-18 for 142 yards passing and a TD. He rushed for another 48
RB Griffin Harper rushed 17 times for 104 yards and caught one pass for 24. 


Jefferson (beat Stephens County 42-14)
RB Max Brown rushed 13 times for 190 yards and two TDs. 


Lumpkin County (beat Dunwoody 32-24)
RB Nolan Matthews had 32 carries for 161 yards on the ground to go with three catches for 95 yards. 
QB Mason Hester was 13-of-23 for 197 and one TD. 


North Hall (beat East Hall 51-49)
QB Alex Schlieman was 23-of-32 for 416 yards passing and 3 TDs
RB Smith McGarvey rushed 11 times for 108 yards and 3 TDs; he also caught one pass for 16 yards.
WR Cole Cable hauled in seven passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. 
WR Ty Kemp caught nine passes for 114 yards and a touchdown. 
TE Dawson Gray totaled 109 yards on four catches and a touchdown. 


Rabun County (beat Dalton 49-42)
QB Ty Truelove was 15-of-27 for 299 yards and a TD. He also added 67 yards on six carries. 
RB Reid Giles rushed 12 times for 111 yards and three TD. He also hauled in seven catches for 204 yards and a 99 yard KO return for a TD.


Union County (beat Murray County 27-7)
RB Bentley Rich finished with 135 yards rushing and two touchdowns.
