TOCCOA, Ga. – Jefferson improved to 4-0 on the season as they blew past Stephens County Friday Night, 42-14.
The Dragons jumped out to a 28-0 lead on the back of Max Brown, who scored a pair of touchdowns midway through the second quarter, including a 70-yard sprint that made the score 21-0 at the time. Colton Grant capped off the first half with an 8-yard touchdown to push the lead to four touchdowns.
Stephens County fought back in the third quarter, scoring a pair of touchdowns to cut the lead in half, but Jefferson answered with touchdowns from Grant and Eli Primm in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
The Indians had an opportunity to cut the lead to seven, but Jefferson's Dylan Berardinelli intercepted an errant pass and returned it 76 yards to set up Grant's second touchdown of the night to make the score 35-21 at the time.
Jefferson will be back home next week for a huge matchup against North Oconee.
