The Union County Government reported that the construction of a new roundabout in the county will begin this month.
The roundabout will be at the intersection of Pat Haralson Drive and Deep South Farm Road just north of Blairsville.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Union County said that construction could take up to a year.
They urge residents to be patient with the contractors doing the work.
“Once completed, this intersection will be much safer for everyone,” the post read. “Please plan for and expect delays when traveling this route.”
They added that alternate routes are available from Weaver Road to Deep South Farm Road and from Murphy Highway to Pat Haralson Drive.
