A Clarkesville man is facing multiple charges for allegations of sexual exploitation of children.

A press release from the GBI on August 28, 2025 indicated that their investigators had arrested and charged Alex Michael Miller, age 36, of Clarkesville, Georgia with Sexual Exploitation of Children.

In June 2024, the GBI CEACC Unit began an investigation into Miller’s online activity after receiving a Cyber Tipline Report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding the possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material. This investigation led to Miller’s subsequent arrest.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s office assisted with the investigation and Miller’s arrest. Miller was booked into the Lumpkin County Jail.

A booking list with Habersham County Sheriff's office on Wednesday morning indicated that he was booked following into the Habersham County Detention Center on Tuesday, September 2 on four counts of sexual exploitation of children from between September of 2024 and January of 2025. Miller was being held without bond following the GBI arrest.  Further details have not been released at this time.
