A Clarkesville man has been arrested following a sexual exploitation of children investigation.

36-year-old Alex Michael Miller was arrested after an investigation that began in June of 2024.

At that time, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) began investigating Miller’s online activity after a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding possible online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

That culminated in Miller’s arrest this week, which the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) assisted in.

He’s currently being held in the Lumpkin County Jail.

Anyone with information about other cases of child exploitation is asked to contact the GBI at (404) 270-8870, anonymous tips can be submitted 1-800-597-TIPS (8477).
