A single-story home in Flowery Branch was destroyed after a fire early Friday morning.

Hall County Fire Rescue said units responded to the home near the 6200 block of Saddlehorse Drive at around 4 a.m.

Firefighters launched a defensive attack on the fire using aerial operations.

Residents were not home when the fire occurred, and a primary search of the home was all clear.

The home was heavily damaged and is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown and under investigation with the Hall County Fire Marshal's Office.
