LABOR DAY CELEBRATIONS

Name: Labor Day Fireworks, Buford
Date & Time: Sunday, Aug. 31, 7 – 9 p.m.
Location: Lanier Islands 7650 Lanier Islands Pkwy., Buford      
Details: Kick Back and Chill Out this Labor Day Weekend! Hangout on the beach by the outdoor fire pits, listen to live music, enjoy delicious food and drink at LandShark Bar & Grill, and stay for a dazzling fireworks show! Name: Labor Day Festival, Homer
Date & Time: Friday, Aug. 29 – Sunday, Aug. 31
Location: Downtown Homer, Historic Courthouse Lawn
Details: Join us for a weekend-long Labor Day Festival in Homer, GA! Lots of fun activities for the whole family. We kick-off the day on Saturday with a fun parade at 10AM, then a full day of festivities: craft vendors, food vendors, bouncy houses, horse rides, petting zoo, a train for kids, local talent performing, and a street dance on Saturday night! Name: Labor Day Car Show, Dawsonville

Location: Georgia Racing Hall of Fame, 415 GA-53 E., Dawsonville       
Details: If Dawsonville is known for anything, it’s cars! The Annual Labor Day Car Show will be held at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame. There will trophies for Top 10, Top Ford, Top GM, Top Mopar, Farthest Traveled and Best in Show. There will also be vendors so you can enjoy browsing more than just cars! FESTIVALS AND EVENTS

Name: Movie Night at the Park, Gainesville
Date & Time: Sunday, Aug. 31, 8 – 10 p.m. 
Location: Don Carter State Park, 5000 N Browning Bridge Rd., Gainesville       
Details: Join us for an animated, G-rated movie! Meet outside the visitor center, with snacks inside, starting at 8 pm, and the movie starts at 8:30 pm. Bring your own chairs/blankets. Details: Grab your lawn chairs and blankets! The 2025 outdoor movie series Movies Alfresco continues with 'Freaky Friday' on August 29 at the Lou Sobh Amphitheater. Name: Folk Pottery and Arts Festival, Sautee Nacoochee

Details: Join in the fun with over 55 artists, including folk potters, studio potters, woodworkers, painters, jewelry artists, glass artists and more. Name: Splash Night, Sugar Hill

Details: This is the last Splash Night of the summer! Be one of the first to arrive and receive a small gift to kick off the festivities. Details: It’s three nights of Jimmy Buffet with A1A, the official and original tribute show! In 1992, the band won a Jimmy Buffett Sound Alike Contest for Margaritaville Records, bringing them to the attention of Jimmy Buffett and his organization. Name: Chayce Beckham Concert, Sugar Hill
