The City of Flowery Branch has announced that the General Municipal Election, scheduled for November 4, has been cancelled due to the presence of unopposed candidates, as required by Georgia law.
Candidates who have qualified and are running unopposed include Oliver McClellan, Mayor, William McDaniel (I), City Council, Post 3, Charles Vanderbilt, City Council, Post 4 and Peter Lena, Jr., City Council, Post 5.
Each of the unopposed candidates listed above shall be considered to have cast a vote for themselves.
