A new edition to the medical staff within Northeast Georgia Physicians Group's (NGPG) Flowery Branch location brings with her a vastly growing career of experience.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Augusta University and her master’s degree from the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Nurse Practioner Jessica Rowe was thrown into the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a new graduate. Working on overwhelmed hospital units at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, and then later in Florida, she took on roles far beyond the bedside. She most recently worked at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton, just eight miles from the new NGPG Flowery Branch building where she will now provide care.

Rowe said in a recent NGPG press release that she chose nursing because she wanted to make a real difference, and quickly discovered she had both the passion and the mindset for nursing. That sense of purpose only grew during a service trip to Peru, noting, “I was part of a group that provided women’s health care and wellness checks in local clinics and open-air markets, and it opened my eyes to how even the smallest amount of medical care can make a big difference."

Then NGPG release adds that Rowe brings intention, care and a personal touch to everything she does and is ready to grow alongside her patients in Flowery Branch.

“This new chapter is exciting because it allows me to build relationships over time, not just one shift at a time,” Rowe said. “The path that led me here wasn’t easy, but it was worth it. I’m ready to get to know each and every one of my patients and continue investing in the health of this region.”

Outside of work, Rowe enjoys spending time in her garden, where she grows all kinds of vegetables. She likes cooking and baking with the produce she harvests, as well as trying out new restaurants. She and her husband have three dogs – Bailey, Copper and Diesel – and five chickens. They also enjoy traveling and hope to soon cross off Europe from their list of travel destinations.

NGPG Flowery Branch is open Monday through Friday and is located at 5678 Phil Niekro Boulevard. Call 770-848-9160 to schedule an appointment or visit ngpg.org/rowe to learn more.
