A grocery store on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville is set to host a Back to School Donation event Saturday.
The Back to School event will be located at the Kroger store at 3630 Thompson Bridge. The event will run from 10am-2pm to help local Hall County children and teachers for the 2025-2026 school year.
The goal for this event is to fill an entire Hall County School bus. There will be some events for the kids including a firetruck and ambulance as well as some activities for the kids to participate in.
Approximately 50 percent of the children in Hall County are at or below the poverty line and teachers often come out of their own pockets to help their students every year.
