INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS

Event Name: First Friday Concert and Fireworks, Gainesville
Event Date & Time: 
Friday, July 4, 4 – 11 p.m.
Event Location: Midland Greenway, 682 Grove St., Gainesville 
Event Details: This is the only time the concert series will move from the downtown square to the Midland Greenway during the 2025 season, making it a one-of-a-kind celebration! Come early to enjoy a pre-show, including live music. Bring your chairs or picnic blankets. At 7 p.m., Live Betty will take the stage. At 9:30 p.m. the fireworks show begins. Event Location: Laurel Park, 3100 Old Cleveland Hwy. Gainesville
Event Details: Bring the whole family for a day of fun. It costs $15 per car, but all proceeds go to Veterans Programs. Gates open at 9 a.m. so you can enjoy live music, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, ice cream and the splash pad. Fireworks will begin around dusk. Event Location: Braselton Town Green, 9924 Davis St., Braselton
Event Details: Join us for a community parade, concert on the Town Green, kid-friendly activities, food trucks, local dining and shopping throughout downtown. Fireworks begin at dark. The parade will start at Free Chapel Braselton at 6 p.m. and continue through downtown on Hwy. 53 and Harrison Street. Fireworks will be launched at dark from West Jackson Elementary School. Event Location: Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Rd., Cumming
Event Details: This annual celebration begins at 10 a.m. with the Steam Engine Parade. The parade starts at Forsyth Central High School, travels down Tribble Gap Rd. and ends at the Cumming Fairgrounds. Come back to the fairgrounds from 4 – 10 p.m. for a family celebration with free admission. There will be food, vendors, live music and fireworks at dark.

Event Location: Downtown Dahlonega, Historic Square
Event Details: It’s a full day of celebrating the birthday of our great nation. It begins at 7 a.m. with the “Firecracker 5k.” At 10:45 a.m. the Declaration of Independence will be read from the historic courthouse, now the Gold Museum, at the center of the square. The parade will take place at 11 a.m. through the square. At 6:30 p.m., enjoy a free concert and food trucks on the UNG drill field. A fireworks show will take place at dark. Event Details: We invite you, your friends, and family to join us in a day of games, crafts, live animal encounters, all of your favorite Independence Day foods, a movie at 8:45pm under the stars courtesy of the Friends of Amicalola Falls State Park volunteer chapter, and many more surprises! Join us for this free event filled with themed crafts, food, live animal encounters, water games to beat the heat, face painting, a movie under the North GA mountain stars courtesy of the Amicalola Friends chapter, and much more!
