Two people remain in the Stephens County Jail on an over $30,000 each following a child abuse investigation in Toccoa.
The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office said deputies conducted a warrant service at a home on Ed Davis Boulevard on Tuesday after receiving reports that a child had been physically abused by their parents at the home. While serving that warrant, investigators reportedly found evidence supporting the complaint of abuse.
James Griffin, Jr., 37, and Natasha Griffin, 41, both of Toccoa, were arrested on charges of cruelty to children in the 1st degree, cruelty to children in the 2nd degree and battery under the family violence act as a result of the search.
