Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Clayton Primary Care has added a new family nurse practitioner, Sandy Stinnett.

Stinnett earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees at South University and has worked in nursing for 20 years, gaining experience across a wide range of specialties: outpatient dialysis, outpatient surgery, hospital nursing, pediatric care, home health, and nursing.

Her career started in Royston at a small, rural hospital, where she would work in almost every area of the facility.

Her focus then shifted to pediatric home health in 2011, where she was able to care for children with special needs for more than a decade.

“I still call those kids ‘my babies,’” Stinnett said. “They’ll always have a piece of my heart. Getting to be part of their world gave me a whole new perspective on patient care and what it really means to show up for people.”

Since then, Stinnet has worked in Demorest, caring for all patients at a primary care clinic.

NGPG Clayton Primary Care is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is located at 30 Cottonwood Street. Call 770-219-9245 to schedule an appointment with Stinnett or visit ngpg.org/stinnett to learn more
