A shooting in Gwinnett County that left one male deceased and one female injured is being investigated by Gwinnett County’s Police Homicide detectives.
At 11:47 p.m. on June 17, officers from the West Precinct of GCPD were dispatched to a call from the 6100 block on Dawson Boulevard. When they arrived on the scene, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound in his chest and transported him to the hospital where he would succumb to his injuries.
A second victim was found by local detectives, with a gunshot wound to the leg and is not believed to be involved in the original altercation of the initial shooting.
A motive is still unclear and detectives are working on following leads to finalize the case.
The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Andre Jones.
