Hall County Fire Rescue has announced the naming of two new deputy fire chiefs.

The county announced Friday afternoon that it has named Bryan Cash and Bradley Martin as the new deputy chiefs, effective June 16. Hall County Fire Rescue Chief Jerry Smith said the appointments were a long time coming.

"There are nearly 60 years of operational experience between Chief Martin and Chief Cash, and I am confident their wealth of knowledge and expertise will serve as invaluable assets in Hall County Fire Rescue's leadership and the community as a whole," Smith said in a Friday statement.

Cash will oversee operations in his role, while Martin will oversee administration, according to the county. Both men started their careers with the department in the 1990s.

Cash started as a firefighter before serving becoming an interim deputy chief starting in August 2023. Martin, meanwhile, also started as a firefighter before serving as division chief of support services for the past three years.
