The Town of Braselton’s 2025 edition of their magazine, This is Braselton, was recognized by the 31st Annual International Communicator Awards with an Award of Excellence (Gold) in the category for Print Magazines.
The award recognizes digital, video, podcasts, marketing, mobile and print work. Some past winners include Forbes, The Walt Disney Company and Pepsi Co.
“We are absolutely thrilled to be honored by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts for our work on This is Braselton,” the town’s Community Development Director, Amy Pinnell said. “Ever since our inaugural issue in 2019, which also received an award from the AIVA (an Award of Distinction in the Davey Awards), we and our partners at Accent Creative Group have strived each year to grow and best the previous year’s publication. The project has been an incredible way for us to share stories both new and old (but perhaps with new twists) from our community with not only local residents but also our neighbors, newcomers and visitors.”
The magazine spotlights local business owners, town history and ways to engage with Braselton. The 2025’s theme is “how sweet it is” which features everything from a sweet or savory taste test to the stories of its town’s founders.
“This is Braselton is an absolute favorite project of our team,” Accent Creative Group President Pam Ledbetter shares, “and I think that shows in the creativity and quality of the published piece and how it gets bigger and better every year. Amy and her team are such a joy to work with, and everyone just really has fun with it, there’s no holding back. This issue, a writer had the idea to share an itinerary through the perspective of a text exchange, and the others fully embraced it and grew it into one of my favorite articles of the whole issue. It’s a true pleasure to watch the ideas spark and the teams challenge and inspire each other, bringing visions to life. I can’t wait to see what they come up with together for 2026.”
A digital version of the magazine can be viewed here. Readers that wish to have a physical copy of the magazine can pick one up at Braselton’s downtown visitor center and at various locations around town.
