A Gainesville man was returned to Hall County this week to face charges related to a domestic incident from 2024.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said Holden Kyle Pregler, 25, was arrested in Clarke County Tuesday. He was booked into the Hall County Jail the same day.

HCSO Deputies obtained warrants for Pregler’s arrest on Sept. 10, 2024 for simple assault, criminal trespass and theft by taking and one felony count of nude electronic transmissions. The victim in the case was a 21-year-old woman.

The initial investigation from  last fall indicated the victim and Pregler were involved in a verbal argument outside of a residence on Woodfern Way on Sept. 9.

At that time, Pregler allegedly told the victim he had obtained access to her Instagram account and was prepared to post nude photos of her to the account. During the course of the argument, Pregler struck the driver’s side mirror on the victim’s vehicle, breaking the glass. He also grabbed her phone and ran with it, tossing it into the grass, before he left the premises.

Later in the evening, the suspect reportedly posted the nude photos of the victim as he had threatened.

HCSO said Pregler had evaded arrest on the charges until he was taken into custody this week. He was granted a bond of $19,500;  but remains in the Hall County Jail for active holds from both Forsyth County and Gwinnett County.
