The Gwinnett County Board of Education has named new principals for two of its schools for the 2025-2026 school year.

The board voted Thursday to appoint Bridgett S. Brown as the next principal of Lovin Elementary School. Brown is currently an assistant principal at Lawrenceville Elementary School and will replace current Lovin Principal Kevin Payne, who is moving to Baggett Elementary.

Brown has been with Gwinnett County Public Schools since 2006 and also previously worked at Cooper Elementary School. She's been at Lawrenceville Elementary since 2019.

Also, the board voted Thursday to appoint Felicia E. Witcher-Caldwell as the next principal of Richards Middle School. Witcher-Caldwell has been with GCPS since 2008, spending her entire tenure with the district at Richards Middle, starting as a teacher and currently working as an assistant principal.

Witcher-Caldwell will replace current principal Mark McCain, who is retiring.
