Two people from Oakwood were arrested after a search of a room at the Jameson Inn on Thurmon Tanner Parkway led to the discovery of drugs.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office, alongside Lanier Drug Task Force investigators, charged Ricky Lee Blackwell, 39, and Lauren Rutledge, 32, after the operation Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators confiscated nearly 64 grams of fentanyl and roughly 60 grams of methamphetamine. The estimated combined street value of the drugs is $15,515.

Blackwell and Rutledge were charged with one count each of trafficking fentanyl and trafficking methamphetamine.

They were booked into the Hall County Jail, where they are being held without bond.
