After a blown save attempt by Raisel Iglesias, leading 3-1 in the top of the 9th inning, the Braves' Alex Verdugo ended it with a walk-off single in the bottom of lift the Braves past the Nationals, 4-3, at Truist Park on Monday.

It marked seven games in a row that the Braves have either had a one-run win or one-run loss, the longest streak by any team in MLB history, according to OptaSTATS.

Now, the Braves face .500 once again, and every time they get to one game under .500, those one-run losses sneak up on the Braves.

They'll look to even the record Tuesday night in Game 2 of the series with the Nationals at Truist Park with Spencer Schwellenbach on the mound.

Washington hopes that doesn't happen as its losing streak hit six in a row on Monday night. They'll send former Braves pitcher Michael Soroka to the hill. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. You can hear the action live on 94.5 FM The Lake.
