Just four northeast Georgia area teams are still alive in the Georgia High School Association baseball playoffs, and half of those will be taking on each other with a spot in the Final 4 on the line.

Cherokee Bluff travels to North Hall in Class 3A to highlight just three games on tap on Wednesday. All series are best-of-three, with doubleheaders on Wednesday and Game 3s, if necessary, on Thursday. However, rain is forecast for both days.

North Hall, the overall No. 3 seed in Class 3A, is the only area team at home. Cherokee Bluff, the 11th-seed, is on the road for a second-consecutive series.

Meanwhile, also in Class 3A, Jefferson, the No. 21 seed, heads to overall No. 2 seed Troup looking for a third-straight series win on the road.

And Habersham Central, the No. 3 seed out of Region 8-5A, heads to Region 3-5A champ Newnan looking for their first-ever Final 4 appearance. The Raiders made history last week, knocking off South Paulding in the second round to advance to their first-ever Elite 8 round.

(See below for Wednesday's entire quarterfinal round schedule of playoff games.)
