Hall County Parks and Leisure is inviting the public to provide their input for the preliminary plans for the South Hall Active Life Center and Park.
The Wednesday, May 21, meeting will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Spout Springs Library, located at 6488 Spout Springs Road in Flowery Branch. The gathering will be the second input meeting for the project.
According to a release from the department, the meeting will be held in an open house, drop-in format, meaning attendees can come and go as they wish. There will be no formal presentation; however, the public will have an opportunity to review the current conceptual plans. The preliminary plan was developed through feedback received at the first public meeting and online participation.
Representatives from Hall County Parks and Leisure and Lose Design, the firm leading the project, will be available for one-on-one conversations throughout the evening.
“The input we’ve received so far has been clear and consistent,” District 1 Commissioner Kathy Cooper said. “Residents want a space that encourages outdoor activity, family connection and community gathering – and that’s exactly what this plan is designed to offer.”
The county said community feedback indicated that paved walking trails, hiking trails and pickleball courts were amenities of high interest within the community. The community center, complete with basketball gyms, meeting rooms and fitness areas, remains a component of the plan.
“This is your park, and your voice truly matters,” Cooper said. “We hope everyone in the South Hall area, and beyond, will join us, see the updated plan and help shape the final version.”
