The trial for Colin Gray has been set for this September.

The trial will begin on Sept.8, 2025, according to a scheduling order filed Tuesday by Barrow County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm.

Colin will not face a Barrow County jury in the case, after Primm granted him a change in venue during an April 17 hearing. However, it has not yet been decided if the trial will import a jury from a neighboring county or export the proceedings to a different venue.

Colin is the father of Colt Gray, who is accused of killing four and injuring nine others during the shooting at Apalachee High School. The trial date comes almost a year to the day after the tragedy.

Colin was charged in the case for allegedly allowing Colt access to the weapon used in the attack.  He faces several charges, including second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter, second-degree cruelty to children and reckless conduct.

Colt has also filed a motion to move his trial to a new venue. A hearing to decide if his case should be moved is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6.
