Two wrecks on Ga. 365 at Duncan Bridge Road in Baldwin caused traffic problems on Friday after a pedestrian signal was hit, which left the traffic signal flashing red in all directions.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office said the Georgia State Patrol reported the wreck at 8:50 a.m.

The wreck occurred on the southbound side of Ga. 365 at Ga. 384, blocking the turn lane onto Ga. 365 southbound and resulting in an unknown number of injuries. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.

According to HCSO, the second wreck occurred in the northbound lanes and resulted in no injuries.

The Baldwin Police Department investigated the wreck.

Deputies from the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office responded at GSP’s request for backup and assisted with traffic control until Georgia Department of Transportation crews restored the traffic signal to normal operation.

The wrecks were cleared within an hour.
