After a family violence incident last week, the Dawson County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) made an arrest.
DCSO reports that 39-year-old Ryan Englert of Dawsonville was arrested after an investigation.
DCSO began investigating the incident on April 1 and Englert was arrested on April 2.
Officials said that no threats were made to the public, and they made the arrest at his home on Holly Creek Road.
Englert is in the Dawson County Detention Center without bond on 22 charges.
Those charges include:

Battery family violence - 11 counts

Aggravated assault family violence - five counts

Simple assault - two counts

Cruelty to children in the third degree - two counts

Cruelty to children in the first degree

Aggravated cruelty to animals
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
