The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reports that a traffic stop led to them finding over 17-ounces of methamphetamine along with other drug-related items.
On March 28 at around 1 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Atlanta Highway near Strickland Road when they witnessed a truck fail to maintain its lane then run a red light.
During the stop, a call was made for a K9 to inspect the vehicle.
The K9 alerted, reportedly leading officers to find 17.1-ounces of meth, digital scales, packaging materials, and a meth pipe.
51-year-old Robert Lee of Roswell was arrested and charged with trafficking meth, possession of drug-related objects, failure to maintain lane, and failure to obey a traffic control device.
The passenger, 43-year-old Patricia Burt of Dawsonville was also arrested and charged with trafficking meth and possession of drug–related objects.
Both were taken to the Forsyth County Jail and remain there without bond.
