Baseball: Bluff goes for region clincher; Branch, EaFo try to move up in 8-4A

Another busy on the diamond to end the week. And several regions will stage some hugely important showdowns. In all, there are 16 games on tap involving 19 area teams. Ten area regions will have key showdowns.

North Hall (6-3A), Cherokee Bluff (8-3A), and Banks County (8-A D1) all sit atop their regions and all three will will go for sweeps on Friday. For Bluff, one win over Oconee County in doubleheader scheduled for Friday would clinch the Region 8-3A title.

East Forsyth and Flowery Branch in Region 8-4A are locked in tight duels for playoffs spots and face tough assignments on the road.
