Hall County Fire Rescue responded to the report of a residential fire in the 5000 block of Weaver Road in Gainesville earlier this morning.
Crews received the call at approximately 4:15 a.m. and first arriving units found a two story structure on a basement with heavy fire throughout.
Crews identified the fire was in the back side of the home and began to attack the fire.
The flames extended into the attic, but HCFR personnel were able to make contact and extinguish the bulk of the fire.
The American Red Cross was notified for two displaced adults and one dog.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
