Overnight storm conditions in Northeast Georgia caused power outages in various parts of the region, although the weather's impact was not as severe as some forecasters had predicted.
As of Sunday evening, Jackson EMC, Georgia Power and Habersham EMC were all reporting single-digit outages throughout their respective coverage areas.
In Hall County, Georgia Power reported a single outage on Gainesville's east side, which impacted only 5 customers in the area. As of 6 p.m., outages in Gwinnett, Habersham, Lumpkin, Rabun and White counties were mostly resolved, with fewer than 10 outages total in those areas.
Habersham EMC reported a single customer, located in White County, was without power in their coverage area.
Jackson EMC said the cooperative had a remainder of two total outages as of last report: one in Gwinnett County, the other in Jackson County.
