The Forsyth County Pet Resource Center and Animal Services will host a free Rabies Vaccine Clinic on Wednesday, Mar. 19, at the Forsyth County Animal Services office.
A press release from Forsyth County said the vaccine will be given from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Rabies is a fatal disease that can spread to both pets and humans, often through contact with wildlife,”
Pet Resource Center Interim Manager Jaci Kobeszka said. “We are grateful to our community partners
who are supplying the vaccines and administering them at no cost to our taxpayers.”
The clinic will be in the Companion Animal Resource and Education Mobile Unit in the Animal Services
parking lot at 4057 County Way.
Residents wanting to participate in the clinic must fill out a check-in form and provide proof of residency in Forsyth County.
County officials said all cats are required to be transported to the event in secure travel carriers, and all dogs must remain on a leash at all times.
