What's Happening This Weekend: St. Patrick's Day edition

St. Patrick's Day is Monday, and while there is a threat of severe weather for the area Saturday night into Sunday morning, there will be plenty of chances to get out and have some green-themed fun before the storms!

Here's this weekend's list of events:

WEEKEND EVENTS, March 14-16, 2025

Event Name: Murder of Crowes, Black Crowes Tribute Band, Cumming
Event Date and Time: Friday, March 14, 7 - 9 p.m.
Event Location: Cumming City Center, Lou Sobh Amphitheater, Cumming
Event Details: America's premier Black Crowes tribute band is based out of Chattanooga, Tennessee. The band's goal is to authentically portray the music first and foremost, from the intricate guitar work to the harmonies of the backing vocals and percussion, paying homage to one of the best rock and roll bands in the world. Admission and parking are FREE. No coolers, outside food, outside alcoholic beverages, cans, glass bottles, or smoking allowed. Friendly dogs on leash are welcome! BYO lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.

Event Name: Full Moon Hike, Winder
Event Date and Time: Friday, March 14, 8 - 10 p.m.
Event Location: Fort Yargo State Park, 210 South Broad St., Winder
Event Details: Come join us on our monthly night hike to view the full moon rising over the paved Wilkins Greenway Trail. Weather permitting. This guided walk is appropriate for all ages & is pet-friendly.

Event Name: St. Patrick’s Day Trail Ride, Gainesville
Event Date and Time: Saturday, March 15, 10:30 a.m.
Event Location: Don Carter State Park, Gainesville 
Event Details: Any horse riders feeling lucky? Don Carter State Park is joining with Chattahoochee Horse Trail Association to host a Saint Patrick's Day Horse Ride! 3 items will be hidden on the trail, find 1 and you will win a prize! Lunch will be provided at noon in the parking lot.

Event Name: Subliminal Doubt, No Doubt Tribute Band, Cumming
Event Date and Time: Saturday, March 15, 7-9 p.m.
Event Location: Cumming City Center, Lou Sobh Amphitheater., Cumming
Event Details: Subliminal Doubt is a nationally touring tribute to No Doubt and Gwen Stefani. Also featuring our alternate persona, Heart of Glass. Parking and admission are FREE. Event Name: Three Dog Night, Gainesville
Event Date and Time: Friday, March 14 and Saturday, March 15, 7:30 p.m.
Event Location: Boot Barn Hall, 312 Jesse Jewell Pkwy, Gainesville

Event Name: Live Music at Everett’s Music Barn

Event Details: Open Every Saturday night, you can find the best talent in the bluegrass world picking in the Barn. Event Name: Paddy’s Day PathFest Parade and Quest, Braselton
Event Date and Time: Saturday, March 15, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Event Location: Parade begins at Ace Hardware on Hwy. 211
Event Details: If you're looking for a fun, unique way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, you'll find it in Braselton at the Paddy's Day PathFEST. There is a parade of festively decorated golf carts and no shortage of green libations for the adults.Decorated golf carts, bicycles, scooters, skateboards, wagons, and walking groups will parade along the LifePath (multi-use sidewalk along Hwy. 211) beginning at Ace Hardware, turning right onto Bayberry Drive, and ending at Primrose School. Spectators are encouraged to watch the zany parade as it travels along the east side of Hwy 211.

Event Name: Swan Lake, Duluth
Event Date and Time: Saturday, March 15 - Sunday, March 16
Event Location: Gas South District, 6400 Sugarloaf Pkwy, Duluth
Event Details: Swan Lake is one of the most renowned and elegant ballets. This full production offers the timeless story of the enchanted young Odette and friends who have been turned into swans by the evil Von Rothbart determined to trick Prince Siegfried into marrying his daughter Odile. This is a performance to remember, presented by North Atlanta Dance Theatre.

Event Name: Shake Your Shamrock, Buford 
Event Date and Time: Saturday, March 15, 4 - 7 p.m.
Event Location: Mall of Georgia, 3333 Buford Dr., NE, Buford
Event Details: The Village Amphitheatre will turn green for Shake Your Shamrock! Get ready for a lively afternoon filled with toe-tapping music, high-spirited Irish dancing, and more. Free for the community to enjoy.
