OAKWOOD, Ga. — Jacob Selman has stepped down as West Hall girls basketball head coach.

West Hall athletics director Trevor Catrett confirmed the resignation on Tuesday.

Selman was hired in 2022.

Catrett said he's currently in the interview process to find "the best fit for our girls."

"We have quality applicants, so that makes me feel good about the hiring process," Catrett said. "We are still in the interview process and hope to have it filled by the end of March. But it's all about the kids and best person for West Hall High School."

The Spartans finished 5-21 last season, which was the most wins since 2020. Overall, Selman leaves Sparta with a 9-66 record in three seasons.

Before he came to West Hall, Selman served as head boys basketball coach at Woodland High School in Bartow County.
