The potential for severe winds and thunderstorms is reported for most of the North Georgia region between late Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service (NWS) out of Peachtree City has issued a Wind Advisory for Tuesday afternoon March 4 at 1:00 p.m., through 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, March 5. This advisory comes as the start of a band of severe showers and thunderstorms moves from the west, eastward to Georgia late this evening. A potential for severe weather could reach the North Georgia Mountains region and northeast Georgia between 10:00 p.m. Tuesday through 4:00 a.m. Wednesday. The NWS says this region is at a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for thunderstorms, high gusting winds and potential for tornado conditions.
