Man arrested on DUI charge after reportedly driving on wrong side of U.S. 129

A 19-year-old was arrested Sunday night in Hall County on a driving under the influence (DUI) charge after driving in the wrong direction of U.S. 129.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Angel Dominick Oceguera was arrested at 11:42 p.m. after getting into an accident at 11:20 p.m.

Oceguera was reportedly driving in the opposite direction on U.S. 129 near Athens Street and attempted to flee from officers before being apprehended.

Oceguera was charged with one felony count of fleeing or attempting to elude and six misdemeanors.

Those misdemeanors include DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong side of the roadway, duty to make immediate reports of accidents, and not showing his license when asked.

He remains in the Hall County Jail on a nearly $19,000 bond.
