There are only two matches on the schedule for Thursday, but one could have early playoff consequences.

On the boys' side, Class 5A fifth-ranked and beaten Gainesville will travel to Chattahoochee in both teams' region openers.

On the girls' side, Class 3A eighth-ranked Lumpkin County (2-0) plays host to Banks County (0-1) at The Burial Grounds in a non-region battle.
