A large-scale drug operation in the Duluth area was broken up on Feb. 14.
The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office reports that investigators received information from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) about a marijuana delivery to a storage facility in Duluth.
Officials report that they identified a suspect vehicle and apprehended two individuals, identified as Jian Yi Wu and Hieu M. Quach.
Following those arrests, investigators searched the facility and a hotel room in Duluth and seized roughly 153-pounds of marijuana and over $20,000 in cash.
Wu was charged with possession of a schedule-III controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a schedule-I controlled substance.
Quach was charged with trafficking marijuana.
Both are currently in the Gwinnett County Jail.
