Buford and the rest of Region 8-6A will be the first region to open region play on Monday.
The Wolves (1-1, 0-0 Region 8-6A)will play host to Mountain View (1-2, 0-0 Region 8-6A) at Gerald McGuaig Field in the first of a three-game series this week.
Meanwhile, Class 3A teams Cherokee Bluff and Chestatee both will hit the road against larger classification teams on Monday. The Bears (3-3) head to Class 6A Denmark (3-3) while the War Eagles (1-5) head to Ivey-Watson to take on Class 5A Gainesville (1-4) in a battle of two teams still trying to get untracked in 2025.
In all, eight games are on tap Monday.
