BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Union County hired Rob Stowe as its next head football coach on Thursday night.

Stowe will replace Michael Perry, who left for Flowery Branch last month.

Stowe spent six seasons at Wilcox County, leading the Patriots to six straight playoff appearances, including a quarterfinal and semifinal berth and a 50-24 overall record. He also led the Patriots to region titles in 2021 and 2022.

Stowe also spent three years of his career as head coach at Gilmer from 2003 to 2006. After Gilmer, Stowe spent the next decade and a half as an assistant coach across the region, including a stop at Rabun County.
