Flowery Branch man arrested in Habersham Co. on drug charges

A Flowery Branch man was arrested by Habersham County officials early Thursday after a week-long drug investigation.

55-year-old Jerald Dwayne Sanders came to Habersham with methamphetamine to sell according to officials.

Authorities said he had been supplying large amounts of meth in Habersham and surrounding counties.

At the time of his arrest, Sanders was found in possession of two ounces of meth and “several thousand dollars in cash.”

Investigators claimed Sanders was selling at “more than a mid-level.”

Sanders was charged with trafficking meth, driving under the influence, failure to obey a stop sign, missing taillight, and driving with a suspended license.

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office deputies have seized two ounces of methamphetamine and several thousand dollars cash from a Flowery Branch man accused of dealing drugs in the county.
