An 18-year-old teen was arrested at Apalachee High School Wednesday afternoon on trespassing and drug charges.

That’s according to the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office, who said that just after 1 p.m., school resource officers (SROs) took Herson Galindo of Atlanta into custody.

Galindo is a student at Tri Cities High School in East Point who allegedly rode the bus to Apalachee High School with his girlfriend, a student at Apalachee.

Another student reportedly encountered Galindo loitering in the hallways and hiding in the bathrooms and reported that to one of the SROs.

The SRO’s located Galindo and learned he was not a student at the school and he was arrested. After that, officials reportedly found a THC vape pen in his possession.

No weapons were found and it is not believed he was engaging in the sale of narcotics at the school according to officials.

At the time, Galindo has not been booked into the Barrow County Detention Center and there is no information about bond.

Galindo is being charged as an adult on one count each of criminal trespass, possession of a schedule-I narcotic, and possession of drugs on school grounds.
