Noah Hamil, the Main Street Manager for Cornelia, was awarded Habersham County Young Professional of the Year at the Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, Feb. 6.
A press release from Cornelia said Hamil just recently celebrated two years with the city.
In addition to his role as Main Street Manager, Hamil contributes to the community as a member of the Habersham County Library Board, a Chamber Ambassador, a member of the Young Professionals Steering Committee and serves on the Cornelia Hospitality and Tourism Board.
“His impact goes far beyond events… he is always ready to lend a hand and somehow finds the time to do so,” Alex Michelle, Marketing and Programs Director for the Habersham Chamber of Commerce said.
Hamil graduated from the Leadership Habersham Class of 2024 and served as team captain for the Chamber’s new fundraising campaign for 2025.
As the Main Street Manager for Cornelia, he oversees several areas, including the Downtown Development Authority, Historic Preservation Commission, Small Business Development, Historic Site operations and special events.
“Noah has a strong work ethic. He grows in his skill set every day and he is building relationships and leading collaborative initiatives throughout our downtown,” Community Development Director Jessie Owensby said. “He is definitely going to be one of our future leaders in Habersham County. We are very proud to have him.”
