GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Chestatee closed out the regular season with a 43-36 win over arch-rival North Hall in region 6-3A on Friday at Lynn Cottrell Court.
The win gave the Lady War Eagles (18-4, 10-4 Region 6-3A) a season sweep of the Lady Trojans (8-17, 4-10 Region 6-3A). And the two teams will meet again on Tuesday in the opening round of the Region 6-3A tournament at Pickens High School.
On Friday, Chestatee took a slim 21-19 into halftime in a defensive battle. The Lady War Eagles stormed out of the break using a 15-8 third quarter to run out to a 36-27 lead.
Caroline Bull had 17 points to lead the way for Chestatee.
Camille Nix had 11 points to lead North Hall. Athena Vachtsevanos added 10 points and Lauren Hemmer had 7 points for the Lady Trojans.

LOGANVILLE 36
The Lady Panthers completed one of the biggest one-year turnarounds in the state with a win over the Lady Red Devils at home in Region 8-5A.
Lydia Wolfe recorded a double-double to lead Jackson County (18-7, 11-1) with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and added 4 steals.
Jackson County finished the regular season as the region champions one year after winning just five total games.
Madelyn Drucker had 6 points and 5 rebounds and Maddie Harkins added 5 points and 7 rebounds for the Lady Panthers.
RABUN COUNTY 45,
ATHENS ACADEMY 38
The Lady Wildcats snapped a two-game losing with a win over the Lady Spartans in region 8-A D1 action at home on Friday.
Adelyn Thompson poured in 21 points and had 4 steals to lead Rabun County (12-11, 4-8 region 8-A D1). Addy Beth Owens added 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 steals while Chloe Erlewine had 8 points and 8 rebounds for the Lady Wildcats. Madison Houck chipped in with 7 points and 7 rebounds.
Rabun County next will take on either Athens Academy or Providence Christian on Monday in the quarterfinals of the Region 8-A D1 tournament at Piedmont College.
