The City of Gainesville is opening up its inaugural Georgia Cities Week Postcard Design Contest.
The contest is in celebration of the 2025 Georgia Municipal Association Georgia Cities Week which will take place April 20-26.
The contest invites children and teens ages five to 17 that are residents of Gainesville-Hall County to create an original postcard design to be used as an official City of Gainesville postcard that will be distributed at the Gainesville Welcome Center. The winner will also receive a $30 voucher to Kilwins Gainesville and a certificate of achievement.
Contestants are prompted to design a postcard depicting their favorite place or thing in Gainesville. Participants may use any medium, including graphic design or photography. All entries must be on a four-inch by six-inch piece of paper, but may be vertical or horizontal.
All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 5 p.m. Entries may be dropped off in person any time from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday at the Gainesville Welcome Center in suite 100 of the Gainesville Administration Building, located at 300 Henry Ward Way, Gainesville; mailed to the Gainesville Public Relations Department, attn: Public Relations Director Christina Santee-Moss, P.O. Box 2496, Gainesville, GA 30503; or sent electronically via Messenger to the official City of Gainesville, Georgia Facebook page.
Submissions must include the contestant’s Full name, age, grade and a telephone number. The winner of the contest will be announced during Georgia Cities Week.
