ATHENS, Ga. — The 2025 Georgia-Georgia Tech football game, for the second straight season, will be played on Friday after Thanksgiving.
Although the game time hasn't been announced, the 119th edition of the rivalry will be played on Friday, Nov. 28, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
The announcement was marked on the ACC Huddle Show Monday night. The annual matchup was previously scheduled to take place on Saturday, Nov. 29, in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Bulldogs beat Georgia Tech in eight overtimes, 44-42, last season on the Friday after Thanksgiving, which has reignited the rivalry for both fan bases.
Georgia has seven straight in the series against the Jackets and leads the all-time series 72-41-5. Tech's last win in Atlanta against the Bulldogs came back in 1999. The Jackets' last win in the series was in 2016.
It'll be one of two neutral-site games for the Bulldogs. They'll play Florida in Jacksonville, Fla.
