Hall County was presented an over-$40,000 check at a board of commissioners meeting on Thursday.
David Lee, Jackson EMC’s Gainesville District Manager, presented the board with the margin refund check.
“The county is a great member of Jackson EMC,” Lee said. “It’s a great community that we live in.”
The checks totaled $40,440.26
District 2 Commissioner Billy Powell praised Lee and Jackson EMC’s work during the snowstorm and related outages, with Lee jokingly remarking that they are “ready for Spring.”
Margin refund checks come from revenue leftover after expenses are paid that are returned to members.
