One driver from Gainesville is recovering from injuries sustained in a two vehicle wreck in Habersham County on Tuesday, involving a commercial vehicle from Douglas County.
Georgia State Patrol (GSP) has reported the 2014 Honda CR-V driven by 80-year old Peggy Jackson of Gainesville was struck while turning from Wilbanks Road in Baldwin along State Route 365 heading northbound at around 8:15 a.m Tuesday. The driver of the commercial vehicle that collided with Jackson's car, 36-year old Kevin Boswell of Temple, said he was not able to avoid contact with Jackson's vehicle when it entered the left lane of SR-365 from Wilbanks Road eastbound.
Jackson told GSP investigators she did not see Boswell's rollback truck when she began her turn onto SR-365 northbound, before being sent into the median druing the collision.
Boswell, driving for Entrekin Incorporated of Douglasville, was not hurt. The GSP says Jackson was transported from the crash scene by Habersham County Emergency Services crews to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville for undisclosed injuries and was cited in the collision.
