Assistant County Administrator Katie Crumley will resign from her role with Hall County to invest more time with her family after serving in the role since Jan. 2023.

Hall County Government officials said Crumley has worked with the county since 2012 as the Public Information Officer, Communications and Strategic Engagement Manager and Assistant County Administrator.

“It has been an honor to spend more than 12 years in public service to this community alongside the selfless men and women of Hall County Government,” Crumley said. “I am immensely grateful for the opportunities provided to me and for those in leadership positions who have invested in me. I now look forward to taking some time to fully focus on the people who matter to me most, my family.”

Hall County finished a re-branding campaign, uncovered and implemented a set of organizational values for more than 1,800 employees and launched a website overhaul under her leadership.

Her work helped shape Hall County Government as it operates today, according to county officials.

“While we understand and respect Katie’s decision to focus on her family, we also acknowledge what a loss this is to Hall County Government,” County Administrator Zach Propes said. “Katie has served the County through several changes and sat at the table with many influential leaders. She will be taking a great deal of knowledge and experience with her and leaving big shoes to fill.”

Crumley also led county communications through the COVID-19 pandemic and a cyber-attack.

Hall County Administration is actively working to fill the position, and Crumley stated she is committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will stay through the end of March if needed.
