With winter weather continuing to impact the Northeast Georgia area, some local school systems, businesses and agencies have announced closures or altered schedules for Tuesday, January 14.
The updated list is below.
Schools:
- Dawson County Schools - Two hour delay in opening for Wednesday.
- Fannin County Schools - Virtual learning day from home on Wednesday; school buildings closed and extra curricular activities are cancelled.
- Habersham County Schools - Closed Wednesday, January 15 ; officials will re-evaluate conditions later in the day, regarging possible re-opening for Thursday, January 16.
- Lumpkin County Schools - Virtual Learning Day for Wednesday; Students should receive communication from teachers on work assigned for Wednesday.
- Pickens County Schools - Two hour delay in opening for Wednesday, January 15.
- Rabun County Schools - Virtual Learning Day from home on Wednesday; afternoon activites suspended; all staff should report to work by 10:00 a.m., if possible.
- Tallulah Falls School - Two hour delay for Wednesday, January 15.
- Towns County Schools - Virtual at-home learning day for Wednesday; all staff to report by 10:00 a.m, if able to do so.
- Union County Schools - Buildings Closed Wednesday, January 15; At-Home Learing Day.
- White County Schools - Delayed opening of two hours Wednesday.
